The “I am Fortitude” project has launched the pre-order phase for the 3D printed Fortitude Sculpture Replica.
I amFortitude! Howard University is my home. In 1979, I was dedicated to the Founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., home to the sorority’s first (Alpha) chapter. For decades since, many have flocked to Howard University’s campus in Washington, DC just to see me, especially members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I am located in the valley and am honored to watch over and provide encouragement to those on campus.
Since 1979, I have witnessed countless women on campus taking pictures in front of me or with me in the background of the photo one way or another.
It is with this love and support, that I have been created. The hope is that those who purchase me will be able to give and share the gift of Fortitude any and everywhere.
